Sam Laurie

 

A multi-disciplinary designer and creative technologist, Sam is responsible for design and digital execution for specialist brands and clients in the ‘Super Sectors’. 

Sam ensures that the studio operates at the height of supreme quality, speed and performance. His notable works include digital-first global rebrand for superyacht broker, Ocean Independence; immersive digital experience, My First Superyacht, generating +40% superyacht charter enquiries; digital customer experience and content creation for €1BN residential resort, Minthis and a new breed of experiential filmic content for Aston Martin’s database and influencer engagement. More recently, he has been responsible for the destination website to launch the £1.5BN redevelopment of The OWO and the UK’s first Raffles Hotel.

Inspired by the launch of the first iPad, Sam has been originating mobile and technology platforms for over 10 years that have been honoured at international awards and successfully propelled brand metrics and revenues. In 2011, Sam conceived BOYD, a Webby Award winning rich media platform for the superyacht industry that was pioneered in partnership with leading brands including Bentley, NetJets and Knight Frank International.

During his earlier career, Sam spent 5-years as part of the owner’s team overseeing the restoration of 91-metre superyacht Nahlin at Blohm+Voss Shipyard in Germany. The project approach broke new ground in restoration quality and combined revolutionary technology and design solutions.
