Jo James is a strategic and creative brand builder with 20 years’ experience across luxury lifestyle. Jo leads all elements of the strategic spectrum with clients – brand strategy, visual and verbal identity; to performance marketing, campaign creation, copywriting, film and photography.

Strong intuition and a natural flair for communication are Jo’s inspiring hallmarks for transforming brands and spearheading first-to-market campaigns. Notable works include brand identity for Nihiwatu, awarded ‘No 1 Hotel in the World’ in 2016 and 2017 consecutively; brand strategy for Zannier Hotels; award-winning rebrand for €1BN residential resort, Minthis; to the global launch of Champagne Louis Roederer’s Cristal 2009. Her sector insight and wordcraft led to the conception of PURSUIT magazine for Ocean Independence, which has attracted and interviewed some of the most influential leaders of our generation. 

Before co-founding One Menagerie, Jo was Chief Executive of Luxure Magazine, responsible for high-level relationships and creative partnerships with luxury Maison’s including 'Fearless at The Ivy' with Van Cleef & Arpels as well as leading business cases for new market entry. Jo has also held global directorship roles working with visionary entrepreneurs and principals of COMO Hotels and Resorts, Caprice Holdings and Little Venice Cake Company; winning international accolades for original concepts, creativity and marketing communications.
